What this site collects, and what it does not.

In detail

• Forms

  If you send an enquiry, we receive what you typed and use it to reply. We do not sell it or pass it to anyone else.

• Analytics

  When enabled, we count page views without cookies and without collecting anything that identifies you personally.

• Fonts and images

  Served from our own domains, so loading a page tells no third party that you visited.

• Films

  Our films are hosted on YouTube and play in a no-cookie embed. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play on one, so browsing the site without watching anything contacts them not at all. Once you do play one, YouTube sees that request and applies its own policy.

• The live stream

  The Stream page is the exception. The harbour camera starts on its own when you open that page, which means YouTube is contacted there without you pressing anything. It starts muted, and it does not start at all if your browser or device asks us not to send video — a reduced-motion setting, a data-saver setting, or a slow connection each leave a still with a play button instead.

• Links out

  Our magazine, harbor, sessions, history, and shop sites are separate properties with their own arrangements.

• Hosting

  Our host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.
